Vahan Amirkhanyan studied at the Faculty of Law of Yerevan State University from 2008 to 2012, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Law, and later completed his Master’s degree in Law at the same faculty in 2017. From 2012 to 2014, he served in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia as part of compulsory military service.

Since 2014, he has worked at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia, the State Revenue Committee, and the Investigative Committee of Armenia, holding responsible and managerial positions. His professional focus has been on tax violations, economic crimes, and smuggling-related investigations.

From January 4, 2023, to May 27, 2025, he served as the Head of the Fourth Division of the General Department for the Investigation of Economic Crimes and Smuggling of the Investigative Committee of Armenia. He holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel of Justice.

During his public service, he was awarded various medals.

Vahan Amirkhanyan is a member of the Chamber of Advocates of Armenia.
